WCU, in conjunction with Humphrys Cover Sports and the Hoge Family officially named the baseball office on South Campus the Tim Hoge Baseball Office, after the team’s bat boy, Tim Hoge. This was entirely made possible by the generous gift of Humphrys CoverSports and Ron Nissenbaum.
Boots wanted to make a donation to West Chester University athletics in the Hoge Family name in celebration of Fred’s 20+ years of service. At Fred’s retirement party last November, it was revealed that the baseball office will forever be known as the Tim Hoge Baseball Office. As of this August, that is official.
Tim Hoge has been the bat boy for the Golden Rams’ baseball team over the last decade. He threw out the first pitch at the 2012 NCAA Division II national championship game, before West Chester cruised to its first national title with a 9-0 win over Delta State (Miss.). Hoge was also in the dugout for both of West Chester’s national championship victories (2012, 2017).
